WKSC training will be starting their sixth season of the ever popular RYA ‘Adult Monday Evening Sail Training Programme’ on Monday 13th May.
This 14-session programme is open to WKSC members and non-members alike and the fee will be just £60 for members and non-members. BUT for non-members this fee will only cover the first 6 (taster) sessions. To continue the programme they will be required to join West Kirby Sailing Club.
For Parents with children that are learning to sail with the junior classes e.g. OnBoard or Optimist Dolphins, here is your opportunity to keep up with the youngsters by learning to sail in a pleasant all-adult environment.
WKSC training provide the boats and experience instructors along with sailing equipment e.g. bouyancy aids, helmets, wetsuits and a few spray tops. On top of this participants also have access to the club changing facilities and hot showers, make sure you bring along a change of warm clothing as you will get wet!
The Monday evening sessions will run from 18:30 to 20:30 approximately and at the end of the evenings sailing there will be reasonable priced, good quality hot food that is available which can be washed down with a drink from the bar, it’s all very informal.
All sessions take place on the lake and are weather dependent; but if lake sailing is not possible, dry land training, sailing theory, rope-work etc will take its place. Copies of the full adult training programme are available on request.
